Josey and Nick – thank you for allowing me to be part of your big day!
Josey was an absolutely stunning bride, wearing a dress that her sister made from an old vintage design. As a bride, she was incredibly laid back, (how many brides do you know that paint their flowergirl’s nails 2 hours before the ceremony) and she and Nick laughed A LOT during the course of the day – the photos are there as evidence – but it set the tone for what was an informal, intimate, relaxed day, full of fun and laughter. As far as weddings go, it was pretty much perfect.
The wedding took place in Morecambe, at the quirky art deco Midland Hotel – the ceremony was very touching and personal – so much so, that I found myself crying after the vows (momentarily forgetting that I was there to take photos!). I wanted to stay true to my photography style, seeking informal and natural shots, gathering a selection of images that told Jose and Nick’s story of their big day. I decided to stay on the peripheral but the guests were extremely friendly, drawing me in for chats and a few offering to buy me a drink – including the bride herself. I refrained, but will hopefully get to drink to their future quite soon. I thoroughly enjoyed being there and capturing their day. If laughter is the key to a good marriage, then Josey and Nick are set for life! Thanks again you two and good luck to your future together x
