Vicki contacted me a few months ago to do a family photoshoot in the Wirral. She had seen my previous work as she is bessie mates with Gorgeous George (check out the bump shoot!) and I was delighted to be heading back down the M62 for a fun-filled day out with her rascalites, Alfie and Edie. Alfie and his ‘jet black mop of mischief’ kept me on my toes for the majority of the afternoon and the beautiful Edie, well she was tormented with teething gums but with a quick chew on her finger and the odd slug of Calpol* she smiled the whole day through – bless her wee cotton socks.
It was a lovely relaxed afternoon and as usual I let the kids take the lead and tried to capture precious family moments of kisses and cuddles and… headlocks. Near the end of the shoot, I decided I wanted a few images of just mum and dad, so we buckled the kids up in the car, cracked open a window for ventilation (it was the least we could do) and I quickly snapped a few of Vicki and Dave – who to me, looked so at ease with one another, and well, just in love really… But that’s my little old opinion, I’ll let you see what you think…
Thanks to the lovely Head family. I had an ace time and once again, got to meet and befriend an absolutely fab family and couple.
* Calpol – worth its weight in gold to all parents and more important to have stock of in the fridge than a crisp cold bottle of sauvignon blanc, even on a Friday night.
