Last summer I spent a fun afternoon with the Baillie family from my hometown of Ballymena. Stephen and Jayne have two of the most photogenic kiddiwinks, Charlotte and Callum and they did most of the ‘work’ for me as I followed them around the house, playing chess, rounders and eating choccie biscuits among other fun stuff! We then took a jarvey down by the serene grounds of Galgorm Castle where I couldn’t get enough of Charlotte’s button face, so unknowingly full of expression and Callum who was just so careful and protective of his little sister… I could tell fine well that Charlotte will have her big bro wrapped around her little finger when they get older. She was just too cute and he was just so lovely and innocent.
I know I’ve said it many times before about families I photograph but Stephen and Jayne have such a gorgeous family and it’s the reason I love doing my job. It does make me question my own parenting skills though when I spend time with a mum and dad who have raised kids who get along so well. Jayne and Stephen, I will gladly accept any advice to my inbox!
Many thanks to you both for trusting me to catch some memories of you all and thanks to Galgorm Castle for allowing us to take some photos in their spectacular grounds.
I will be back home in Ireland doing lots of photography during the summer months, so if you’re interested in a similar shoot then drop me a line using the ‘Contact Me’ tab at the top of the page!
